000000;">Stamp Making Workshop

Last week  I had stamp making workshop twice.  The first one was on August 5, for an immigrant women event at 123 York Street. There were 8 students from all different countries. The second one was organized by myself on August 9, at the Charlotte Street Arts Centre. 5 people came and made their own stamps.

000000;">Since I started to sell my stamps at the Boyce Farmers Market, m000000;">any people have told me that they never ff0000;">000000;">knew000000;"> that stamps can be ff0000;">000000;">carved000000;"> by hand. That’s why I want to make this workshop to share the skills and increase the stamp making population in Fredericton.

000000;">I enjoyed the workshop very much and so far I’ve got some d feedback.   It was such a pleasure to share your knowledge with others.

” I thought this workshop was very useful. it gave me a chance to try new tools before investing in them and i don’t think i would have thought to use something as commonly found as an eraser. i also think it was useful in that i learned how to use the tracing paper to transfer an image instead of drawing directly on the stamp.” – Chris

“I thought it was really neat how the stamps we made were tree-themed and we did the pictures at the end and shared the stamps to make a little print. It was a nice idea to use the stamps together and create a picture, and a nice memento to take home and put on the wall.” – Candace

000000;">I am planning to run this workshop every month. The next one will be at the end of September. If you are interested, please check the information on my website later.
