Some of my recent stamps

After being away for about 3 weeks I am back to Fredericton Boyce Farmers’ Market, with some of my new stamps.

Summer

It’s getting hot now. Summer in Fredericton is so short I won’t complain. Too bad I can’t go to work like that:) China is even hotter. See the “hot” stamp by Zhang XiaoJuan here,if you are over 18. http://site.douban.com/widget/public_album/44707/photo/1097660716/

A sunflower seed for you :)

This is a simple eraser stamp tutorial published on a Chinese SNS Douban, and been deleted in 5 minutes.  Originally written  by me – Carloe Liu, a designer and a craft person, who did a sunflower seed exchange with Ai Weiwei in December 2010. Ai Weiwei has been detained by the Chinese authorities on April [...]

Paul the Octopus

My recent work, printed from 4 pieces of rubber block. As a big fan of Paul the octopus,  I wish it could be done quicker. However, very few people watch soccer game in my city so when I showed this work at the farmers market today, some people even asked “Why Paul”? The answer is [...]

Hanzi Stamps

This week I made 12 new Hanzi- Chinese character stamps. Each one comes with a card with the pronunciation and the meaning . Hopefully they will go well at the  Farmers’ market this Saturday, July 18.

Have you ever used your pencil in this way?

Do you know each pencil is with a tiny rubber-stamp? Buy a rainbow ink pad and play with your child.

New Rubber Blocks coming

This is the second time I’ve offered speedy-cut (speed ball) from America. It is my favorite rubber block. Really as smooth as a butter. The only thing is it is too soft to carve details such as letters. So for most of  the order-made stamp cases I will use another rubber-SEED made by Japan. This speedy-cut  is [...]

What’s new this week.

A part of my new works this week. Small stamps mounted by  wood blocks. ( 2.5cm x 2.5cm)  Some are based on the Japanese traditional family crests-Kamon. I also have some new stamps like butter fly and the animals’ silhouettes . See you at the Market!
