2008-2009

thorcandle.comkaory.netstamp-pattern2hanastamp-rkarafunenotebook whiteline I moved a lot in 2008. I have to say immigrating to Canada was a big decision in my life. I drew a comic called HANA to express the feeling of uprooted. It is published in the Special Comix- SC3.  I left Kyoto and moved to Toronto with my husband in July 2008. Five month later, I had to move again. Finally I settled down in Fredericton, New Brunswick. During this time I met a lot of people. Thorcandle.com is a website I made for Nilgun, a brilliant candle artist. Kaory.net is another website I made for Kaori , who is a wonderful flower arrangement teacher and interior designer. I enjoy making rubble stamps in my free time, and I started to sell stamps at the farmers' market from May 2009.  I am learning English and I also took a print making evening course at the college. As a new comer it is not easy to get into Canadian work place, but I am so lucky that I got a full time job at Orange Sprocket as a graphic designer form Nov 2009.  Since then I have been making flash banners, illustration, logo and website.  I will progress my design skills  and become a juicy orange and a high-end sprocketeer! greyline

graphic design for mobile phonecateco_lifeowl1solarhelloillustration for avatarsdcardrobot2whiteline I worked for a GUI design company in Kyoto. I was a member of the graphic group. We teamed up for many projects such as mobile phone UI design, new product demonstration, exhibition display and application development . Those experiences were essential , because I was not only  manipulating the graphic image, but also got the opportunity to work on the usability issue and the information architecture. I found myself very active at the brain-storming session, I had the ability to draw drafts quickly and transfer the textual idea  into visual language. I enjoyed my job very much and I got along with my co-workers very well. I also got good reputations from the clients, such as Panasonic, Samson and Brother. See more  on Carloe's Drawer 2008 greyline

out of a bookdressanother timedistancezoomwallpaper for KTYmaskdrawerencounteroopstrain_windowwindow whiteline I graduated from Kyoto Seika University. My major was Media & Video Art and I have a Masters degree in Fine Arts. I was more interested in interactive movies than normal video, which require  the audience to click or touch somewhere to find out what happens next. My movies are like a book have some loop animations on each page. You can easily get in and enjoy. I took apart in many exhibitions and I also worked for some companies, designing graphic and web contents. See more on my previous web site: Carloe's Drawer 2005.
